Levels and confidence

Do I need to be fluent?
No. SpeakSix offers classes at A1, A2, B1, and B2. Choose the level closest to your English today. Personal prompts and optional phrases help you find a starting point.
How do I choose my English level?
Your starting assessment helps you choose a suitable group. It is a guide for conversation practice, not an official language certificate. Create your account to find your starting level.
Can beginners join?
Yes. A1 classes make space for simple words and short sentences about familiar topics. A2 classes give you more room to describe everyday experiences and ask questions. Choose the level that feels closest to what you can use today.
What if I feel nervous or do not know what to say?
You can give a short answer, use the optional phrase help, finish early, or pass a turn. You do not have to fill the whole turn. Listening and asking a simple follow-up question are useful ways to take part.

The conversation

Who will I speak with?
You will join up to five other English learners at your selected level. The group works with a shared topic and personal prompts supplied by the lesson.
Is there a teacher in the class?
A dedicated teacher is not included in this format. The lesson provides prompts, optional phrases, and timed turns to structure conversation between learners.
How long is a class?
Each class lasts 60 minutes: a 25-minute speaking round, five minutes for a break and self-assessment, another 25-minute speaking round, and five minutes for a final self-assessment and wrap-up. The group shares the speaking time. See the full class guide.
What do the six speaking styles mean?
Friendly, Curious, Playful, Reflective, Supportive, and Direct are different ways to explore a topic. Each lesson pairs two styles. They guide the conversation; they are not personality labels or English levels.
What can I practice after class?
Keep useful language in your private notes and return to your lesson’s Shuffle Cards. You can also try a 25-card sample before your first class.

Prices and booking

How much does an English conversation class cost?

Do I need a subscription?
No. Choose the number of classes you want. One credit covers one class.
Does a package reserve my class times?
No. You choose from available classes at your level. Check the schedule for suitable times before purchasing a package.
Where can I check credit and cancellation conditions?
Read the current Terms & conditions before purchasing. If you need help understanding a booking or your balance, contact support.

Joining and getting help

Do I need to download an app?
You can join your class and use Shuffle Cards in your browser. You need an internet connection and microphone access to speak.

What if I cannot hear the group or my microphone does not work?
Check your browser’s microphone permission and the selected audio device. Confirm that you are not muted and that your headphones or speakers are connected. If the problem continues, open the support guide.
