Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal information SpeakSix collects, why it is used, when it may be disclosed, and the choices available to users of the Service.
1 About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SpeakSix collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you use the SpeakSix website, web application, related mobile applications, live classes, and associated services (collectively, the "Service").
SpeakSix is operated by an individual based in the United Arab Emirates. SpeakSix serves users internationally and acts as the controller of the personal information described in this Privacy Policy, except where a service provider acts as an independent controller under its own terms.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent, we will ask for it separately.
2 Information we collect

Payment and transaction information
SpeakSix currently sells individual lessons or lesson credits. SpeakSix does not currently charge recurring subscription fees.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. SpeakSix does not normally receive or store your full payment-card number, card security code, or full bank-account credentials. We may receive limited transaction information, including the payment status, amount, currency, date, transaction identifier, payment-provider customer identifier, and the lessons or credits purchased.
Live class information
When you join a live class, your display name, audio, participation status, chat messages, reactions, and other classroom interactions may be transmitted to the classroom provider and made visible or audible to the other people in that class.
SpeakSix does not record live classes as a standard feature. If recording is introduced for a particular class or feature, we will provide clear notice before recording begins and obtain consent where applicable law requires it.
Communications
We collect information you send to us, including emails, support requests, survey responses, feedback, and records of our communications with you.
Information collected automatically
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser, operating system, device type, language, and device identifiers
- Pages, screens, and features viewed or used
- Dates, times, session duration, referring page, and navigation events
- Login, security, error, crash, and diagnostic information
- Cookie, local-storage, analytics, and attribution identifiers
Referral and campaign information
If you reach SpeakSix through an advertisement, creator, affiliate, referral, or promotional campaign, we may collect the referring source, campaign identifiers, click identifiers, referral code, landing page, and related conversion events. We use this information to measure campaign performance, prevent fraud, and calculate partner attribution or payments.
Sensitive information
SpeakSix is not designed to collect sensitive information such as government identification numbers, health information, precise geolocation, political opinions, religious beliefs, or biometric identifiers. Please do not disclose sensitive or highly private information during a live class or in free-text fields unless it is necessary and you understand that other class participants may hear or see it.
3 How we use personal information
| Purpose | Examples | Legal basis where required |
|---|---|---|
| Provide the Service | Create accounts, authenticate users, display schedules, book classes, manage lesson credits, deliver live classes, and provide learning features | Performance of a contract |
| Process purchases | Complete payments, issue confirmations, maintain transaction records, and address payment disputes | Performance of a contract; legal obligation |
| Communicate with you | Send account notices, booking confirmations, reminders, service changes, and support replies | Performance of a contract; legitimate interests |
| Operate and improve SpeakSix | Analyze feature use, troubleshoot errors, test improvements, and understand demand | Legitimate interests; consent where required |
| Protect users and the Service | Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, and violations of our terms | Legitimate interests; legal obligation |
| Measure referrals and marketing | Attribute sign-ups and purchases to campaigns, creators, affiliates, or advertisements | Legitimate interests; consent where required |
| Send optional marketing | Share product news, offers, or surveys | Consent, or legitimate interests where permitted |
| Meet legal requirements | Maintain tax and accounting records, respond to lawful requests, and establish or defend legal claims | Legal obligation; legitimate interests |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our interests are outweighed by your rights and reasonable expectations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4 Cookies and similar technologies
SpeakSix may use cookies, local storage, software development kits, pixels, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Service, remember preferences, understand product usage, and measure referrals or advertising.
- Essential technologies support authentication, security, checkout, session continuity, and core site functions.
- Preference technologies remember settings such as language, time zone, and cookie choices.
- Optional product analytics help us understand visits, email signup form views and submissions, assessment starts, completed registrations, checkout, purchases, bookings and first qualifying class attendance. These events are collected only after you choose to allow analytics.
- Advertising and attribution technologies, when enabled, help measure campaigns and understand whether a visit or purchase followed an advertisement, creator link, affiliate link, or referral.
When you allow product analytics, we use Amplitude with a random browser identifier, your internal account identifier after sign-in, session identifiers and limited campaign labels. We do not include your name, email address, assessment answers, classroom audio, chats, private notes or payment-card details in these events. You can change this choice using Analytics privacy on this site. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and suppresses queued events that have not been sent; it does not automatically remove events already delivered.
Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential technologies, we will request consent before using them. You can manage choices through our cookie controls, where available, or through your browser or device settings. Blocking essential technologies may prevent parts of the Service from working.
Where required by applicable law, we will also recognize legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for the browser or device that sends the signal.
5 How we disclose personal information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- Service providers that host, secure, maintain, analyze, or support the Service
- Payment processors that complete purchases and help prevent payment fraud
- Live-class technology providers that transmit classroom audio and interactions
- Email and notification providers that deliver confirmations, reminders, and other messages
- Analytics, attribution, and advertising providers when those tools are enabled and legally permitted
- Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, or authorities where reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, compliance, or security purposes
- A buyer, successor, or relevant adviser in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the Service
- Other parties when you direct us to disclose information or provide valid consent
We may also disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect the rights and safety of SpeakSix or others, investigate misuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define certain advertising or analytics disclosures as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" even when no money changes hands. If SpeakSix engages in activity covered by those definitions, we will provide the notices, consent choices, or opt-out methods required by applicable law.
6 Service providers
SpeakSix uses third-party providers to deliver the Service. The providers used may change as the product develops. Core providers currently expected to support the Service include:
| Provider | Function | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, backend, and related infrastructure | Account, profile, booking, lesson-credit, and technical information |
| Stripe | Payment processing and payment fraud prevention | Contact, transaction, payment, and device information |
| Zoom | Live audio classroom infrastructure | Display name, audio, class participation, and technical information |
| Email and notification providers | Account emails, confirmations, reminders, and service notices | Email address, message content, and delivery information |
| Amplitude (when you allow analytics) | Product funnel and campaign measurement | Random browser and internal account identifiers, session identifiers, selected product milestones and limited campaign labels |
Some providers process information under their own privacy policies and may act as independent controllers for specific activities. We encourage you to review the privacy notices of providers you interact with, especially payment and live-class providers.
7 Live classes and other participants
SpeakSix classes are interactive group sessions. Other participants may see your display name and, depending on your settings and participation, may hear your voice, read your chat messages, and observe information you voluntarily share.
Do not disclose information in a class that you do not want other participants to know. Although our rules may prohibit unauthorized recording, screenshots, or redistribution, SpeakSix cannot fully control the actions of every participant or device outside our systems.
If you believe another participant has misused your information or violated class rules, contact hello@speaksix.com or the support channel provided in the Service.
8 International data transfers
SpeakSix is operated from the United Arab Emirates and serves users in multiple countries. Your information may be processed in the United Arab Emirates and in other countries where SpeakSix or its service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use appropriate measures designed to protect personal information. Depending on the transfer, these measures may include contractual protections, standard contractual clauses, recognized adequacy mechanisms, or another lawful transfer method.
9 Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the Service, maintain accounts, fulfill lesson purchases, support users, secure the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
- Account and profile information is generally retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for account restoration, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
- Booking, attendance, and lesson-credit records are retained as needed to deliver purchased services, support users, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.
- Transaction and accounting records may be retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, anti-fraud, or financial laws.
- Support communications, security logs, analytics, and diagnostic information are retained according to operational need, provider settings, legal requirements, and the sensitivity of the information.
When personal information is no longer required, we delete it, anonymize it, or place it beyond practical use. Residual copies may remain in backups until those backups are overwritten or securely deleted according to our backup schedule.
10 Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, provider security controls, logging, and restricted administrative access.
No system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your email account, login credentials, devices, and any links or codes used to join a class.
11 Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Request restriction of certain processing
- Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Receive certain information in a portable format
- Opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling where applicable
- Appeal a refusal of a privacy request where applicable
- Lodge a complaint with a competent privacy or data-protection authority
To make a request, email hello@speaksix.com. Describe the request and identify the account email involved. We may ask for information necessary to verify your identity and authority. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits. We may require proof of authorization and may still need to verify the user directly. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Some rights are subject to exceptions. For example, we may retain information when required by law, needed to complete a transaction, or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
12 European Economic Area United Kingdom and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable data-protection law may give you the rights listed in Section 11. SpeakSix processes personal information on the legal bases described in Section 3.
Where required, you may complain to the data-protection authority in the country where you live or work or where you believe a violation occurred. Contact hello@speaksix.com first if you would like us to address a concern directly.
SpeakSix does not currently use solely automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects for users.
13 United States privacy disclosures
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional rights if the relevant law applies to SpeakSix. These may include rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.
The categories of personal information we may collect are described in Section 2. The purposes of collection and use are described in Section 3. The categories of recipients are described in Sections 5 and 6. SpeakSix does not sell personal information for money.
If applicable law treats advertising or analytics disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, you may exercise the applicable opt-out right through our cookie or privacy controls, a recognized browser signal where legally required, or by emailing hello@speaksix.com.
14 Marketing communications
If you subscribe to speaking ideas and SpeakSix updates, we collect your email address, where you subscribed, and a record of your request, confirmation and unsubscribe choices. We send a confirmation email before activating the subscription. This mailing list is separate from your learner account, class reminders, and lesson follow-up preferences.
You can unsubscribe through a link in these emails without signing in. We keep a record of that choice to avoid sending further marketing emails unless you confirm a new subscription. We remember dismissed email prompts in your browser so they do not keep interrupting your visit.
We may send transactional or service messages needed to operate SpeakSix, including account notices, booking confirmations, lesson reminders, payment confirmations, security alerts, and material service updates. These messages are not optional marketing communications.
We may send promotional emails only where permitted by applicable law. You can unsubscribe through the link in a promotional email or by contacting hello@speaksix.com. Unsubscribing from marketing will not stop essential service messages.
15 Children and age eligibility
SpeakSix is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or permit children to create accounts for the current Service.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to SpeakSix, contact hello@speaksix.com. If we confirm that personal information was collected from a child contrary to this policy or applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If SpeakSix later offers a service designed for minors, we will introduce appropriate age, notice, consent, safety, and parental or guardian controls before doing so.
16 Third party links and services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party content or privacy practices.
17 Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to SpeakSix, our data practices, service providers, or legal requirements. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
